I don't have very much to say about
Unisyn, although I owned a
copy for a while before abandoning MOTU's products and switching to
Galaxy
for my editor/librarian needs. Unisyn is basically a port of
Dr. T's
X-oR generic editor/librarian, with MOTU's graphical styling bolted on.
It supports a large range of devices (over 200, according to the marketing
blurb) and will edit any one of them (although
some devices give it a severe headache), giving it a definite edge over Galaxy,
but the screen layout and usage is rather crude and inefficient.
Basically, any potential user will either be locked into the
MOTU camp or
Opcode camp, so choice of editor/librarian is pretty much preordained.
