Dance and Performance Projects

CASSIEL 1992 -- initial "showcase" performance. The Mad Hatter's Last Moondance (1992) -- Scottish Arts Council-funded commissioned score. Artistic Upstarts (1993/1994) -- assorted avante-garde performance projects. Specific Gravity/Heroides XII (1995) -- physical theatre collaborations for the Edinburgh Fringe. 1919/21 (1996) -- Butoh dance evoking images of German expressionist film to a live electronic sound score. A Dance in the Queen's Chamber (1998) -- Butoh dance, performed at Traquair House and the Edinburgh Fringe. From the Nest (1998) -- Earthy installation performance at Cyberia Internet cafe.

Other slices of dance work include: 1997, 1998: Residencies at Dance Base, Edinburgh, working with choreographers Jane Howie (Scotland), Sandie Wilson (England) and Satu Tuittila (Finland). 1998: Work with Scottish Dance Theatre in Dundee, working with composer Chris Benstead and choreographers-in-residence Suzannah West, Marisa Zanotti and Peter Royston. 1998: Participant in the Composers' and Choreographers' Exchange at the South Bank Centre (London).
