        <s:content>1 Driving the Monome {anchor:Driving the Monome}&#xA;&#xA;{image:img=shado-small.jpg|align=float-right}&#xA;&#xA;A burst of activity on Java-based embedded scripting languages for {link:MaxMSP|http://www.cycling74.com/products/max5} has collided nicely with the arrival of our {link:monome one twenty eight|http://monome.org/series}, resulting in {link:shado|http://www.loadbang.net/space/Software/net.loadbang.shado}, an open-source sprite and compositing library designed to be controlled in realtime by a scripting library. (We favour {link:Python|http://www.python.org}, having grown to like it over the last few months.) Now that shado is pretty much finished, it&apos;s time to start building things with it.
