>>Magma manufacture various sizes of PCI breakout cages, so that standard PCI cards can be driven from laptops with CardBus expansion. I have two Magma cages (a CB1F and a CB2S) which I've used to host Korg OasysPCI cards, with only minor problems (addressed in Digital Performer and OasysPCI).

Two issues: firstly, the units do appear to be a little sensitive to fluctuations in mains power - on one project, I would get fairly predictable crashes at around 18:30 every weekday, before getting a UPS. Secondly, the internal fans are noisy, and so the boxes are not ideal for detailed audio work if you're used to a clean, quiet environment.
